What Is an AVIF Image?
AVIF is a modern image format based on AV1 compression. It can store compact still images, transparency, and advanced color data, although decoding support varies by browser and profile.
AVIF vs PNG
AVIF emphasizes efficient compression, while PNG is widely used for lossless graphics and transparency. Converting can improve compatibility, but PNG output may be significantly larger than the AVIF source.
Preserve Transparency
PNG supports alpha transparency. Savezly preserves decoded transparent, semi-transparent, and opaque pixels without adding a white, black, or other background.
PNG Image Quality
