How to Resize an Image

  1. Choose one or more JPG, PNG, or static WebP images.
  2. Enter pixel dimensions or choose a percentage, then decide whether to maintain the aspect ratio.
  3. Resize the images and download each finished file individually.

Resize Images by Pixels

Pixels mode lets you set a width and height. With aspect ratio locking enabled, changing either dimension calculates the other from each image’s correctly oriented proportions.

Resize Images by Percentage

Choose from 1% through 200% of the browser-decoded source dimensions. Final dimension and pixel limits still apply.

Keep the Aspect Ratio

Aspect ratio is locked by default to avoid stretching. You can unlock it to set width and height independently, but changing the proportions can make the image appear stretched or compressed.

Resize JPG Images

JPG and JPEG images are decoded, resized, and re-encoded as JPEG at a fixed quality setting. EXIF orientation is applied to the rendered pixels, while metadata and the original JPEG compression are not preserved.

Resize PNG Images

PNG images remain PNG and preserve browser-decoded transparency. Palette, grayscale, metadata, and internal chunk representation may change during resizing.

Resize WebP Images

Static WebP images remain WebP and can preserve transparency. Animated WebP is rejected because this version does not preserve animation.

Image Quality When Resizing

Resizing reconstructs image pixels and requires JPG and WebP files to be re-encoded. Results and file sizes vary by image, browser, and target dimensions; a resized image is not guaranteed to be smaller.

Upscaling Images

You can increase image dimensions within the tool limits. Upscaling cannot restore or create detail that is absent from the source image and is not an AI enhancement.

Private Browser-Based Processing

Resizing runs locally in your browser without uploading images or using an external image-processing API. Image metadata and color-profile representation may be removed, normalized, or changed during resizing.

Image Limits

Select up to 20 images, up to 20 MiB each and 50 MiB combined. Sources and outputs are limited to 8192 pixels per side and 16 megapixels. Accepted source images are limited to 64 megapixels per batch, active decoded pixel buffers are guarded at 128 MiB, and retained outputs are limited to 100 MiB.
